The best VR cricket games for Meta Quest
The short answer: for realistic bat-ball physics and a full match, try RealBat Cricket VR; it is also the only one you can play free in the Quest browser. iB Cricket is the best known, with its own bat accessory and multiplayer. Final Overs is a popular all-rounder with local multiplayer, and VR Cricket Captain: Cover Drive suits players who want captaincy as well as batting.
Who wrote this. We make RealBat Cricket VR, so we've put it first and told you exactly why. For the other games we've stuck to what their own store pages and websites say, checked in October 2026, and linked each one so you can check prices and reviews yourself. Store details change; if something here is out of date, tell us and we'll fix it.
How we judged them
Every VR cricket game looks good in a screenshot. What separates them happens at the crease, so these are the things we looked for, in order:
- Ball physics. Does the ball swing, seam, drift and turn through the air and off the pitch, or follow a fixed path?
- Bat feel. A sweet spot, edges that behave, and a way to match the virtual bat to a real one.
- The match around you. Fielders, a keeper, an umpire, wickets that mean something.
- Ways to play. Matches, nets, quick modes, multiplayer, leaderboards.
- Trying before buying. A demo, and how easy it is to start.

1. RealBat Cricket VR
RealBat Cricket VR
Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S · $14.99 on the Meta Horizon Store · free browser demo
RealBat is built around one idea: the ball is not on rails. Its flight is worked out 240 times a second, with drag, swing and Magnus-effect spin, so pace bowlers swing it and seam it and spinners drift it and turn it off the pitch. The bat's sweet spot comes from its weight and shape, so a middled drive flies and a thick edge goes to third man, each with its own sound and controller buzz.
You can bat with a controller in your hand or strap it to a real bat and lock the two together. Put two controllers on the bat and the game blends them, so the blade stays put even when one controller turns away from the cameras. Look down and you see your batsman (seven to choose from), pads and helmet included; a ball on the pads can be given out LBW by the umpire, with ball tracking on the big screen.
Ways to play: a 10-over Match against a full side at RealBat Stadium or the Colosseum (gladiators in the field, and somewhere in the fifth or sixth over the sky starts to fall); Auto-fire rounds of two or three minutes with a wagon wheel and sweet-spot map; unlimited Nets with the bowler of your choice. Easy, Medium and Hard, each with its own leaderboard.
Choose it if you care most about how the ball and bat behave, or you want to try before you buy: the demo runs in the Quest browser with nothing to install.
2. iB Cricket
iB Cricket
By ProYuga · Meta Quest and PC VR (Steam, early access) · ib.cricket
The best-known name in VR cricket, and the one most players have heard of first. Its listings describe a wide range of bowlers (right- and left-arm, pace and spin), an AI coach that analyses your batting, campaign and tournament modes, and player-versus-player matches. ProYuga also sells its own cricket bat accessory for the Quest controller.
Choose it if you want an official bat accessory, multiplayer and the biggest community. If you've played it and want a different feel, see how RealBat compares with iB Cricket.
3. Final Overs: VR Cricket
Final Overs
Meta Quest · store listing
A well-reviewed Quest cricket game. Its listing highlights AI-driven bowling and local multiplayer, so it's a good pick for playing with friends in the same room, taking turns with the headset.
Choose it if you want a popular all-rounder with a social side.
4. VR Cricket Captain: Cover Drive
VR Cricket Captain: Cover Drive
Meta Quest · early access · store page
The odd one out: alongside batting, it lets you captain the side, set fields, manage players and make DRS calls, with a career mode. It is in early access, so expect it to change.
Choose it if you enjoy the thinking side of cricket as much as the batting.
5. Irusu Cricket VR
Irusu Cricket VR
Meta Quest 3 and 3S only · store page
A newer, low-priced game built for Quest 3 and 3S. Its listing describes one-to-one bat tracking with the sweet spot and power worked out from your swing, bowlers up to 150 km/h, haptics that tell a clean drive from a thick edge, and matches of 3, 5, 10 or 20 overs.
Choose it if you own a Quest 3 or 3S and want a cheap way into VR cricket. It won't run on Quest 2.
Others worth knowing
- Cricket Reality VR: early access on Quest and PC VR, with a training mode (net practice against a bowling machine and shot drills).
- Cover Drive Cricket: a batting-practice simulator on itch.io, made by a former cricketer, with a bat heatmap and wagon wheel.
- Balls! Virtual Reality Cricket and VR Batting: older PC VR titles for HTC Vive-era headsets. Interesting history, fewer updates.
The Meta Horizon Store also has a long tail of small cricket titles, many in early access. Check recent reviews before buying.
The only one you can play right now, free
RealBat Cricket VR's demo is the real game in your Quest browser: the nets, a bowling machine, a keeper and a fielder. Nothing to install, no sign-up.
In your Quest: open the Browser and go to rbcvr.com.
Quest 3, Quest 3S or Quest 2 for cricket?
Quest 3 is the best headset for VR cricket: the sharpest view of the ball and the best controller tracking. Quest 3S has the same controllers and processor at a lower price, and is the best value. Quest 2 still plays most cricket games well, but some newer ones (Irusu Cricket VR, for one) are Quest 3 and 3S only.
Whatever the headset, swinging hard at a ball works best with the controller on a real bat or held firmly with the wrist strap on. Our guide to using a real cricket bat in VR covers mounts and calibration.
