Descriptions to quote

One line

RealBat Cricket VR is physics-based VR cricket for Meta Quest: face real swing, seam and spin with a real bat or a Touch controller.

Short (about 50 words)

RealBat Cricket VR puts you at the crease on Meta Quest 2, Quest 3 and Quest 3S. Every delivery is simulated physics, from swing and seam to spin and bounce, and the bat's sweet spot comes from its weight and shape. Bat with a controller or a real bat. Try it free in the Quest browser.

Long (about 120 words)

RealBat Cricket VR is a virtual reality cricket game built around one idea: the ball is not on rails. Its flight is worked out 240 times a second, with drag, swing and Magnus-effect spin, so pace bowlers swing and seam it and spinners drift it and turn it off the pitch. Where, and how fast, the bat meets the ball decides the shot: a middled drive flies, a thick edge goes to third man. Players can strap the Touch controller to their own bat, or put two controllers on one bat for steadier tracking. Bat a ten-over innings at RealBat Stadium or the Colosseum against a full fielding side, chase scores in Auto-fire, or practise in the nets. It is $14.99 on the Meta Horizon Store, with a free demo in the Quest browser.

Features

What makes it different

RealBat simulates the ball's flight and the bat's sweet spot instead of scripting them, so batting rewards the same things it does in the nets: reading the ball from the hand, getting to the pitch of it, and meeting it in the middle. It is also the only VR cricket game, to our knowledge, that you can play straight from the Quest browser with nothing to install.
